For Sensative, we’ve not been able to enjoy the same time off. And, that’s just fine with us!
We’ve been a busy group the summer of 2015. Beginning in early June, we launched our crowdfunding campaign that took us through mid-July when most Swedes were enjoying down time from their jobs. Now that the campaign is ‘In Demand’ we’ve refocused our efforts on other areas to make sure Strips 1.0 launches as smoothly as possible.
These efforts have led us to locating new prospective partners and a few tech bloggers and other parties interested in testing Strips to help us find and work through any bugs. This means setting up and building several prototypes which we then ship to different parts of the world and work on any issues they may find. Often we are discovering that the people testing are simply using Strips differently than we had thought they would so all it takes is a clearer set of instructions. Good to find these things out now so we can tweak the software and improve the manual and instructions.
We are also looking for partners who may be able to help us enter other markets, both geographically and horizontally. These conversations are proving very fruitful as people who understand sensors know just how Strips will change the magnetic sensor industry. As one person recently said “I see no reason why Strips won’t take over the magnetic sensor industry once it’s launched.”
Fall will be a time where kids are back at school and Sensative will be out at trade shows throughout Europe building more interest, creating new and growing existing relationships and looking to expand the reach of the world’s thinnest magnetic sensor. This activity will eventually lead to a return visit in January 2016 to CES, the world’s largest consumer electronics trade show, where the public part of Strips’ journey really began in 2015.
As you can see, it’s an exciting time to be working for a small startup called Sensative. And, it’s still not too late to support our goal of making smart home technology that makes sense by contributing, liking and sharing our crowdfunding campaign.
